Kim Wilson This one day course will provide teachers new to the subject with strategies for teaching History Extension. The course will address three main components: (i) programming, teaching ideas, and assessing What is History? (ii) programming, teaching ideas and resources, and assessing the Case Study (with specific reference to Elizabeth I and JFK) (iii) setting, monitoring and assessing the History Project (this will include sample marking).
Particular attention will be paid to analysing source material and integrating the historians in essay discussions. Teachers attending will be provided with teaching notes and have access to many resources.
