Presenter:
Karen Burke This course is a follow up to 'Creating a Quality Assessment Task', although it can also be attended in isolation. It will be particularly helpful to Early career Teachers who are building their accreditation documents, as well as teachers who are looking at ways to incorporate the Quality Teaching Framework and Syllabus bookend components into their units of work.
Previously named "Backward Mapping:Programming for Alignment"
During the day, we will look at how to align what we teach with what we are assessing - so there is consistency and alignment for our students in our Teaching and Learning Programs.
By the end of the day, you will walk away with a Quality Teaching and Learning Program for at least ONE unit of work, that leads your students to succeed in achieving the Rich Task you have developed for them.
What to bring:Stages 4/5/6 Syllabuses, at least one Teaching & Learning Program with the linked Assessment Task, highlighters, post-it notes, paper, thumb drive, and laptop (if desired).
