This workshop is a practical hands on course that looks at a variety of approaches to non toxic relief printmaking. Suitable for Visual Arts teachers of Years 7-12 the workshop will cover varying approaches to the creation of an image including; direct drawing and photographic transfer, cutting techniques, registration, effective inking,and colour printing with single or multiple blocks.Participants will be directed through a range of techniques from the basics of a relief design using the negative & positive to experimentation with printing surfaces and materials, developing their own series of visual resources.A program outline will be provided, including carving tools, lino, wood and paper samples.This course is suitable for all levels of experience and will provide a range of skills.

What to bring:

Please bring protective clothing (apron / shirt / smock). Closed shoes only to be worn in work-areas.
