Presenter:
Richard Andrew This workshop is a detailed examination of a quality teaching approach within Yr 9-10 Mathematics. The basis to teaching mathematics conceptually lies in creating a learning environment which enables students to become engaged, work mathematically and make the mathematical connections necessary for conceptual understanding to occur. Open-ended questioning, assessment for learning and teaching with an inquiry approach are key strategies which will be demonstrated through the dimensions Structure (Coordinate Geometry, Algebra) and Measurement.
