Jasmin Jones This course introduces you to Australian Indigenous Music. It is best suited to beginner teachers or those unfamiliar with this topic and can cover stages 3, 4, 5 and 6. You will learn about the protocols which need to be followed when teaching Aboriginal Music and also how and where to get this information. You will participate in composition activities for the various stages, incorporate ICT in your Indigenous Music lesson, learn Aboriginal songs and develop your own lesson plan or task. You will leave with composition tasks, ideas, songs and lesson plans. This course will give you the resources and knowledge you need to teach this topic confidently across all stages, knowing you are teaching within cultural guidelines.
What to bring:You will need to bring a pen, paper and a USB to save information and the lessons created.
