Glen Pearsall This workshop explores practical and fun ways to foster student engagement in the class room. We will explore: a number of engaging monitoring activities for ensuring homework goals are met, practical ways to encourage students to enjoy and take ownership of revision and proofing; kinaesthetic games for the humanities class room, fun teaching strategies for adding depth and detail to student work as well as model lesson plans for engaging and turning around difficult or distracted groups. Teachers completing this seminar will have a host of new highly adaptable activities for the everyday class room.
