Barbara Stanners This course will clarify the student skills required to demonstrate personal understanding of the prescribed speeches. Focus will be on the analysis and evaluation of the rhetorical language, content and construction of THREE of the seven speeches set for study. The aim will be to refine teacher skills in developing student appreciation for examining textual integrity within a contextual framework.Strategies for developing strong familiarity with content and exam response skills will be covered throughout the day through discussion and resource sharing. Student exemplars will also be assessed to help establish academic benchmarks for exam preparation.
What to bring:Copies of all prescribed speeches for annotation and discussion.
Copies of student exemplars if available.
USB and/or laptop for resource sharing.
