'The Story of Tom Brennan' -Clarifying 'growing up or transition' as the elective focus -Analytical deconstruction of 'The Story of Tom Brennan' by J. Burke -Examination of appropriate related texts and how they could be used. -Development of student response skills, especially with reference to textual features, social context and attitudes and values -Teaching and Learning strategies will be addressed within each session.

What to bring:

Laptops and/or USB would be useful for digital resource sharing as well as multiple print copies for distribution of personal resources that have been particularly effective in the classroom
