Darryn Kruse This program, presented by a non-technically-minded classroom teacher,
will showcase a range of straight forward ways to enhance students
learning with ICT in the Yrs 5-9 classroom. It will suit
teachers with occasional or full time access to ICT - from a
few computers to a 1:1 program. The ideas explore the various phases of an inquiry process, and will include examples from history, geography, science, English & the Arts. The main areas covered are:- Engaging visual activities to tune students into
learning - Effective computer-based research and note taking processes- Easy ways to personalise & differentiate learning opportunities- Web 2.0 resources for effective collaborative learning-Ten great websites to meaningfully engage the adolescent learner- Simple, yet powerful ways to use blogs & wikis to help students manage & reflect
on their own learning. Time & support will be given to choose & develop a particular area of interest and leave with a broad range of ready to use ideas.
