Presenter: Jasmin Jones
This course is designed for teachers with no prior musical knowledge, who have been asked to teach Music in secondary classrooms. The course will run through the NSW Music Syllabus and what is required to be taught in Music. Throughout the day you will develop basic performance skills and learn how to teach Music through the three learning experiences. We also will discuss classroom management issues, and learn Music theory. Participants are encouraged to bring any programs with them so they can ask specific questions. This course is designed to give teachers the knowledge and confidence to teach Music even though they are not formally trained in the subject.
What to bring:Pen, paper, USB and any programs or units you will be required to teach.
