This course is designed to show teachers how they can use Microsoft Excel 2007 and free Internet resources to assess Stage 5 Mathematics outcomes. Course participants will be provided with hard and electronic copies of ready-to-use tasks that use Excel and free Internet resources to assess Algebra, Consumer Arithmetic, Data and Probability. Participants will be given the opportunity to attempt some of these tasks and to create an assessment task to examine an outcome of their choosing. This course is designed for teachers who have no experience or only a small amount of experience with setting assessment tasks using Excel and the Internet. This course is part of the 'Laptops in the Classroom' series SO BRING YOUR LAPTOP.

What to bring:

Participants should bring their own laptop with Microsoft Office 2007.
