Are you seeking to improve your NAPLAN results? Are your students struggling at the whole text level? This course will help! The ability to produce a range of texts is crucial to academic success. 'Good',coherent, cohesive writng that conforms to conventions can be taught. However writing is a creative act, texts can be stylish or awkward, clear or ambiguous. This course will enable you to help your students develop effective whole texts. We will analyse 'good' and 'awkward' texts to explore different grammatical principles. This course is aimed at all teachers, Years 5-8 and beyond, looking to help their students understand and apply the structures and features of language appropriate to purpose, audience and context. Participants need basic grammar understandings.
