Presenter:
Suzy Manning Participants design and make their own silver ring. Teachers will have access to the tools, information and resources needed to introduce this project. A study of Art Deco style provides design related content. The process of lost wax casting will be explained along with some fundamentals of jewellery design and finishing. You will have two silver rings that you have made from the course as examples. One of the rings you will make as a wax model on the day and receive it in the post 2 weeks later in silver. The other ring you will receive on the day in silver form. Set up costs, which will be discussed on the day, can easily be kept to a minimum to successfully run this course at your school. This course has been designed to be delivered in any room setting. You don't need a specialized room or area.
