Denise Skidmore Des Gorman Kim Dullard Martin Culkin Rashmi Watson Ros Davis Stuart Taylor Tom Hardy Trina Beard In the recently-released Grattan Report on improving teacher performance, there was significant emphasis placed on the importance of focused observations of lessons and quality feedback to teachers. This two-day workshop will assist leaders in building observation and feedback skills as a strategy for ensuring consistent teaching and learning standards across your school. The National Professional Standards for Teachers will be used as the basis for informing judgements throughout the workshops.
This course will cover:
- using the National Professional Standards for Teachers;
- observing lessons and recording information;
- strategies to support all teachers to continuously improve;
- recognising good/outstanding lessons;
- opportunity to practice and refine specific skills in giving feedback; and
- analysing multiple sources of data to inform judgements about the quality of learning outcomes
