Presenter: Toni Noble

This highly experiential workshop demonstrates a number of practical and innovative teaching strategies that can improve student wellbeing at the same time as improving learning outcomes. The strategies include new multi-focus higher-order thinking tools, cooperative learning strategies, educational games & quizzes and tools for formative assessment. These strategies show how to translate the evidence on effective teaching (based on the work or John Hattie, Robert Marzano and others) into innovative, contemporary and effective classroom teaching strategies. The strategies are fun and engaging, promote critical and creative thinking and student responsibility for their learning, build relationships and teach social skills.

Relevant and useful strategies that can be easily incorporated into a variety of classes. Thank you so much.
Lots of interesting ideas to bring back to the class - just have to build the resources now. Enjoyed the group work and option to practice it.
Learnt many effective teaching tools to use in the classroom across all KLAs. (easy to link to each KLA).
Some good teaching strategies - would use some the other strategies including 'learning go round'.
More information is needed on the link with National Curriculum. This course is aimed more at 1st and 2nd year teachers. This should be identified in the summary of the course.
Good teaching strategies to use in any classroom supported by theory and evidence which shows relationship between well-being and student achievement.
Positive to consolidate understanding about the importance of student well-being, focus on whole-person. 'Understand-go-round' will be most relevant to ensure students engage with test.
While there was a lot of strategies, there needed to be some more time. The ten track framework is a great and useful tool what I will use.
Great variety of tools and strategies.
Some great strategies shared. Good opportunity to work with other teachers.
Enjoyed the thinking feet.
Really enjoyed the workshop - good balance between theory and lots of excellent teaching strategies.
