In the face of the largest change to Australian Education since the Public Education Acts of the 1880s, this course aims to provide some more certainty for English teachers in upcoming curriculum change, supplying rigorous yet practical approaches to new and recycled teaching resources. PRESENTER: David Hastie has taught HSC and International Baccalaureate English for 15 years in a range of NSW schools. He has presented extensively at teacher training conferences, is an education writer (The Australian, Eternity) and advanced PhD candidate in English Education at Macquarie University. In 2010, he presented at state and national education conferences on the Australian English Curriculum alongside senior figures from ACARA, and published several articles on its theoretical frames.
