The aim of this course is to examine elements of teaching which can be embraced by teachers to foster successful learning and a love of learning in students from K-12. The course will look at the characteristics of succeeful learning and the quintuplets of effective teaching: - Collaboration - Consultation - Communication - Laughter - Differentiation. In addition, strategies to help build a student's confidence and enhance a student's self-esteem will be outlined. Finally, the importance of values such as courage, loyalty, self-discipline, empathy, honesty, idealism, perseverance, compassion, and responsibility will be discussed. These values, learnt from an early age from the actions and behaviours of others, help mould a person's character and help equip young people to deal with the questions and difficulties of today's world.
