This course is all about how to use your digital camera and how to make the most of your images after you take them. During the day we will conduct a short field trip and then upload,review and enhance the images in Photoshop. Finally we will make a selection that can be viewed as a Web or Pdf gallery. This course will cover: the difference between digital & film, optical techniques, composing a photograph, compression (raw vs jpeg), size & resolution, bit depth, managing images with Bridge, automating & batch processing, editing and image correction, colour and tone adjustments, creating web galleries and pdf presentations. Conducted on Macintosh computers, all skills learnt will also be applicable on a PC.

What to bring:

Participants must bring their own digital camera and either a usb cord or Card Reader to enable downloading of images to the computer.
