Presenter:
Kim Wilson History in the junior years is an opportunity for students to enjoy great stories about people and civilisations from the past as well as to develop critical thinking and analytical writing skills. This one day course will provide new and beginning teachers with interesting and practical teaching ideas and strategies for Stages 4 and 5 History. Participants will focus on designing units of work that feature variety in teaching and learning activities. The course will also provide opportunities for developing assessment tasks and marking criteria as well as engaging in sample marking. Teachers attending will have access to extensive teaching notes, to use in the classroom.
