Increasingly, in a world where knowledge itself is constantly growing and evolving, students need to develop a set of skills, behaviours and dispositions, or general capabilities that apply across subject-based content. This workshop will examine: what exactly is meant by personalisation; what aspects of schooling should we personalise; and which teacher and learner skills are needed to implement a more personalised approach. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for participants to briefly explore the PbyP program which allows students to build an electronic portfolio to track progress in building general capabilities.
