



Standard Course - Module B - Close Study of Text Detailed analysis of Peter Weir's film 'Witness'. Evaluation of how the structure, content and language features of the film medium used communicates meaning and shape audience interpretation and response. Close study of the medium, auteur style, themes, film techniques will be via key scenes from the film will as well as related resources. A range of teaching and learning strategies for programming, assessing and developing studentresponse skills will also be examined throughout the workshop. Small group activities will be involved to share approaches, resources and assessment of student skills.
What to bring:Participants are advised to bring laptops/ipads for note-taking and resource sharing. Wi-Fi may not be available. Workshop resources will be available via USB and limited website access. Multiple or digital copies of effective classroom resources used for teaching this elective.
