This online course introduces participants to the concept of language learning strategies and the relevance of these in the language learning classroom. It includes elements of language learning theory, the most up-to-date research findings and practical applications. One of the strengths of this course is its personal relevance to teachers as well as their students. In addition, the course encourages participants to continue their professional learning and development with practical suggestions for classroom research and time allocated to developing an action plan. Hence, the course will have a wide appeal to both beginning teachers and to existing teachers of all languages.
