Presenter Information

Anthea Markowiak is a primary trained teacher with extensive experience teaching children in the first three years of formal schooling. An awareness of the problems some children experience in acquiring basic skills of reading, writing and comprehension led her to complete a Masters Degree in literature development. Anthea has recently completed a research degree focusing on comprehension development in Kindergarten children with and without Learning Disabilities. She now teaches at a university level.
