Kim is Head of the HSIE Department at Wenona School. She is an experienced teacher of Ancient, Modern, Extension and Junior History. She has delivered many professional development courses for History Teachers for the AIS, HTA and MAHA. In 2005, Kim was recognised with a NSW Quality Teacher Award. More recently she has been awarded a doctorate in Historical Fiction from Macquarie University. She has a number of publications including, her book, 'Re-visioning Historical Fiction for Young Readers: The Past Through Modern Eyes', and articles including, 'Refashioning Elizabeth I', Teaching History: Journal of the History Teachers Association of NSW Vol. 40, No. 2, June 2006, 11-13.
