Jo has been researching the genre of poetry and working in schools conducting classroom poetry writing workshops and teacher poetry P.D sessions for over 20 years.She is the author of 30 books for children and teachers and is currently working as a freelance poetry specialist from her quirky home in Venus Bay, 'Lunasea'. She is well known for her practical 'hands on' sessions which enable children and teachers to write poetry with great ease, enjoyment and humour! Jo has conducted many poetry sessions at teacher conventions over the years and is remembered not only for her innovative ideas and teaching techniques in the area of poetry but also for her large collection of amazing hats!
