Presenter Information

Karen has been teaching for twenty three years and is the Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT) at Blacktown Boys High School, where she loves this challenging role of enhancing teacher quality. She spent time in 2009 at the DET Curriculum Directorate as the Relieving Curriculum Advisor Music and has been a HOD for 5 years. Karen has taught in seven schools, both State and Private, Country and City, and has been immersed in the NSW DET Quality Teaching documents and practice. Karen is a presenter at the HSC Music Study Days in Western Sydney Region, she has been an HSC Music Marker and networks with Early Career and Head Teachers in a number of schools. Her passion is in writing and implementing Quality Teaching and Learning Programs and Assessments.
