Course Description

This course will help you identify and incorporate different approaches to the General Capability: Ethical Understanding into your everyday teaching practice. You’ll learn:

  • What ethics and ethical issues could look like in a classroom context.
  • Why ethical understanding is important for 21st Century teaching and learning.
  • Where ethical understanding fits within the Australian Curriculum.
  • Approaches to teaching ethical understanding, including:  Teaching ethical principles and applying ethical principles to ethical issues; Developing values criteria and applying them to situations; Identifying, evaluating and reflecting for ethical understanding This course was developed by Cool Australia.
