Course Description

This course offers a practical guide for teachers on how to engage students in Business Studies. It has particular relevance for those new to the subject and will provide ideas, inspiration and resources that can easily be applied in the classroom. Participants will gain insights into the syllabus as well as programming ideas and teaching strategies. The course provides opportunities for collegial discussions and sharing of ideas and strategies for effective classroom practice. Teachers attending have access to resources that provide ongoing inspiration for your students.

Presenter

Neil Kusi-Appuah

Neil has degrees in (Science) Psychology and Economics, a Diploma of Education and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He is currently Head Teacher Social Science at Five Islands Secondary College and works as a Masters of Education HSIE methods lecturer for Wollongong University. He has extensive experience as a HSC marker in Business Studies and Society and Culture as well as serving as SOM and Senior Marker in Legal Studies, was a member of the Legal Studies syllabus writing team, runs HSC student lectures teacher seminars and has authored Preliminary and HSC texts.
