Course Description

Children are connecting, playing, and chatting online earlier than ever — often before they fully understand what those interactions mean. This course is designed for all primary teachers and explores how gaming, online chat, and digital friendships shape student wellbeing. Participants will learn how to support students when they experience frustration, exclusion, or upset related to online play — and how to embed safe, respectful digital habits in everyday teaching.  The course includes age-appropriate classroom strategies, teacher talk prompts, and ideas for engaging families in conversations about healthy tech use.
