This course provides an overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can be used to solve problems in the educational system. It is designed for educators, parents, students, and anyone interested in the future of education.

We will explore what Artificial Intelligence is, what the use cases for AI in education are, explore the downsides to AI adoption in education and talk about recommendations for future research.

Steve Brophy

Steve is a highly effective, passionate and innovative educator, with over 17 years of experience at both local and international level in both primary and secondary.

In his role as the Director of ICT & eLearning, Steve oversees the digital strategy and development at Ivanhoe Grammar School.

As a teacher, he is incredibly passionate about learner development and the power of technology to enable learners to take the reins of their own learning.

Steve is the cohost of the TeachTechPlay web show, organiser of the TeachTechPlay conference and founder of CoLearn MeetUp. He is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and a 2017 TouchCastEdu Ambassador.  He has a Master of Education from Deakin and has received awards for innovative teaching practice.
